Our Vintage 2000 has a Single Quinta Classification, the Portuguese equivalent to an Estate, Domaine, or Azienda. 100% of our grapes come Quinta do Tedo Vintage 2000from our own 34 acres (14 hectares)of class "A" vineyards, the highest rating from the Portuguese Instituto do Vinho do Porto, equivalent to Grand Cru. Located in the heart of Portugal's Alto Douro our 18th century estate is bordered by the Tedo River to the west and the Douro River to the north. Our 2000 Vintage Porto was aged for 2 years in 1,980 gallon (7000 liter) French oak tanks.

This is a classic Vintage similar to the great 1997 and 1994 vintage years. The grapes were picked very ripe and slightly dehydrated, further increasing the flavor intensity. This 2000 Vintage Quinta do Tedo has a strong foundation and is destined to age gracefully in the bottle.
