BARREL ROOM

We have begun the restoration of an old building on the property to be used for our new barrel room. All precautions are being taken to create a naturally stable environment with constant temperature and humidity which to prevent TCA contamination. The barrel room can store up to 250 of 228 litre and 350 litre oak barrels.

CULTURE BIOLOGIQUE

Quinta do Tedo was the first Domaine Vinicole in Portugal to use the natural farming practices defined as Viticulture Raisonable (Agriculture Raisonable), under the control of the AVAPI. Today Quinta do Tedo has gone one step further and now practices CULTURE BIOLOGIQUE in all 14 hectares of the terraces and vineyards.

The estate's steep rugged vineyards are plowed by a very special horse who is appropriately named TEDO.

VISITING THE QUINTA

In April 2005 the Quinta opened it's doors to the public for tasting and sales. The tasting room welcomes visitors, Monday – Friday from 9 am to 6 pm and Saturday from 2 pm to 6 pm.

We offer groups tours which include tour and tasting of the facility for groups of up to 80, advance reservations are required.
